José Guillermo Cancio

José Guillermo Cancio

In Loving Memory of José Guillermo Cancio
January 25, 1935 – January 8, 2026

José Guillermo Cancio was a man whose life was rooted in love, strength, and devotion. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, he carried his heritage with pride and lived his life with quiet dignity and unwavering values. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, a chapter of his life he held close to his heart, reflecting his courage, discipline, and commitment to something greater than himself.

Above all else, José was a family man. His greatest pride was not his service or his talents, but the family he built and loved so deeply. He was known for many things—his boxing skills, his passion for raising roosters, and his strong presence—but those who knew him best knew that his heart belonged to his family.

José shared a love story that defined his life. He loved his wife with a devotion that never faded, carrying that love with him until his final days. Their bond was unbreakable, a love so strong that even death could not take it away. It lives on in the stories told, the lessons passed down, and the love that fills every generation after them.

He leaves behind his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—each one a living piece of his legacy. His wisdom, strength, humor, and love will continue through them. Though his physical presence is gone, his spirit lives on in the values he instilled, the sacrifices he made, and the love he gave so freely.

José Guillermo Cancio will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, a proud father, a loving grandfather, and a man whose love will never end. We carry him with us—in our hearts, in our memories, and in the love we pass on.
