Jose Ernesto Galvan of Brownsville, TX passed away on Saturday, January 10th, 2026 due to complications from a long term illness.
He was born on May 16, 1954 to Joaquin Galvan and Renee Eyssautier.
He is survived by his wife Rosa Maria Covarrubias, his son Jose Ernesto; his brothers and sisters; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Ernie will be remembered with love by all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed.
Visitation will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15th, 2026 with a prayer service commencing at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16th, 2026 and at 2:00 p.m. a chapel service will be celebrated and interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. to Guillen Community Cemetery.
