It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Dr. Carlos E. Gonzalez Angulo, 69, in Los Fresnos, Texas on Monday, January 5, 2026. A native of Cartagena, Colombia, Carlos was a loving husband, devoted father, doting grandfather, and dedicated physician and lay minister.

He was known for his strong faith, his passion for the Holy Scriptures, his love of learning, and his unwavering commitment to serving his patients, his community, and all those God placed in his path. His calling as a healer extended beyond medicine; he lived his life with faith, generosity, and profound humility.

He is preceded in death by his parents Victor and Carmen. He is survived by his wife Alicia, his children Claudette (Ernie) and Celsio (Anh), his grandchildren Sophie and Oliver, and his siblings Javier, Irma, Rafael, Victor, Ivon, Carlos, Maria del Socorro, and Maria del Rosario, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation is scheduled from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, with a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo, New York.
