Lucio Soto Longoria, 89, of Brownsville, Texas, a loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Alta Vista Nursing Home in Brownsville, Texas. He was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on December 15, 1935, to Fidela Longoria Soto (†) and Eligio Soto Milam (†).
Left to cherish his memory is his lovely wife of 65 years, Amparo Isabel Soto; his children: Maribel (Rick) Marks, Pearl Vega (Camilo Robledo), Corrie (Mario) Martinez, Lucio Jr., Ciro Soto, Patti (Julian) Martinez, Yvette (Leonardo III) De La Garza, and Isabel (Clint) Stewart; and numerous grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 28th, 2025, with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 29th, 2025, and a chapel service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Interment is to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Guillen Community Cemetery.
