Ester Reid
August 13, 1961 – November 15, 2005
After a long and courageous battle, our beloved mother has gone home to be with the Lord. Ester was a devoted mother to her sons, Leeroy Valladarez (Nelly Valladarez) and Elvis Reid, and a proud, loving grandmother to Leyla and Dominic Valladarez. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Retha Kiphen, who was always loving, supportive, and by her side through difficult times, as well as her sister Minerva Salazar, numerous nephews whom she dearly loved, and her cherished niece Miranda Martinez.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Enriqueta Falcon, her sister Maria Martinez, and her brother Felipe Falcon.
Ester will forever be remembered for her big heart, kind spirit, and her ability to make everyone she knew feel welcomed and loved. Her strong and unwavering faith guided her through every season of life. She also had a deep passion for rescuing animals and caring for those without a voice.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the local humane society or any animal rescue organization — a cause very close to Ester’s heart.
Though we miss her deeply, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering and is finally at peace. Please keep our family in your prayers as we honor her life and the incredible love and faith she shared with all who knew her.
