Jesus Loera Jr of Brownsville Texas, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest November 13th 2025 at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Edinburg Texas on December 30th 1964. Lifelong resident of Brownsville Texas.
He is preceded in death by father Jesus Loera Perez. Left to cherish his memory is spouse Dora Hilda Loera, mother Dorcas M Loera, children Jacquelin Loera de Villarreal, Carlos Loera, and Christian Loera, brother Joel Loera, sister Sofia Martinez, granddaughter Danissa Jacquelin Villarreal and many nieces and nephews.
Jesus Loera Jr was an exceptionally intelligent individual whose wisdom and insight left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Above all, he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather—devoted, patient, and deeply caring. His legacy lives on in the family he loved so much. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, November 16 th , 2025, from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m., with a recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel re-opens at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 17th, 2025. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. at Lord of Divine Mercy Catholic Church. Interment is to follow to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens at 3:00 p.m.
