Charles David Hoskins Jr.

Charles “Chuck” Hoskins, Jr., 47, of Brownsville, Texas, passed away on July 29, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose presence brought joy, strength, and warmth to everyone around him.

Chuck was born to Charles and Paula Hoskins, who raised him with strong family values and a deep respect for life. He was a loving husband to Melissa, who was his rock and life partner. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, strength, and unwavering support. Chuck was also a proud father to his children: son Coy and daughters Kayleigh, Kendall, Taylor, and Skyelar Hoskins. His family was the center of his world, and he took immense pride in being a role model, protector, and source of constant encouragement.

Chuck had a deep love for the outdoors. He found peace in fishing, thrill in hunting, and happiness in gathering family and friends for cookouts. Whether by casting a line, telling stories by the grill, or walking through the senderos, he lived for these simple yet meaningful moments, especially those spent with his forever best friend, his dad, which he treasured most.

Those who knew Chuck will remember his big heart, his sense of humor, and his unwavering dedication to the people he loved. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Maria and Miguel Solis, and his paternal grandparents, Jean and Gene Pascal Hoskins.

He is survived by his loving wife, Melissa; his children, Coy, Kayleigh, Kendall, Taylor, and Skyelar Hoskins; his parents, Charles and Paula Hoskins; his brother, Bryan (Kristina) Hoskins; as well as several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and a large extended family who loved him dearly.
