Enrique Chavez

Enrique Chavez, 44, of Brownsville, Texas, husband, father, son, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest July 13^th, 2025, in California. He was born in Brownsville, Texas on September 7^th, 1980.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Benito Chavez and Eugenia Rico; his uncles Enrique Plata and Mario Chavez, and his aunt Susana Elizondo.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Eydy Padilla, his daughters, Itzel Alejandra Chavez and Alyah Alejandra Chavez; his mother Magali Berriochoa (Carlos Berriochoa) and his father Sabino Chavez; his brother Cristian Chavez and his sister Iris Okaidy Chavez; his grandparents, Enrique Plata and Alejandra Lucero; his aunt Susana Plata; and his nephew whom he loved like a son, Angel Gabriel Arredondo; and his closest cousin Edgar “Gary” Cantu among other multiple aunts, uncles, cousins.

Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025 with a chapel service commencing at 5:30 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and interment is to follow at 11:00 a.m. to Buena Vista Burial Park.
