Juan Manuel Garcia, 81, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest July 18th, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas on June 24th, 1944.
He is preceded in death by his parents Miguel and Maria del Consuelo Garcia; his siblings Miguel Garcia, Mario Garcia, Jose Garcia, Lupe Garcia, Andres Garcia, Olivia Garcia-Barker, and Marissa Garcia.
Left to cherish his memory is his spouse Aurora Garcia; his children Patty Ashley (Tony), Juan Gabriel Garcia (Sandra), and Emmanuel Garcia (Jennifer); his brother Jaime Garcia (Lupita); his grandchildren Jordan Zollo (Dara), Lauren West (Christopher), and Ryan Ashley (Ashley), Andres Garcia, Gabi Lee Garcia; and his great grandchildren Mason West, Carter Zollo, and Michael West.
Visitation is scheduled from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church and interment is to follow at 11:00 a.m. to Buena Vista Burial Park.
