It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of DEXY COROMOTO CALDERA, mother, daughter, and friend, who left us after a courageous three-year battle with Cancer. Dexy passed away on July 1st, 2025, surrounded by her family after showing remarkable strength and grace throughout her journey.
Dexy was born on February 15th in Venezuela and from a young age, she stood out for her hardworking nature, kind heart and resilient spirit. She lived her life with a quiet determination and an unshakable commitment to those she loved.
She is survived by her only daughter, Dexy Y. Kitterman, who was by her side every step of the way during her illness. Dexy was a source of inspiration to her daughter and to everyone who knew her.
She will be remembered for her unwavering bravery, her generous heart and her ability to find strength even in the darkest moments. She touched many lives with her compassion, work ethic and beautiful spirit.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Teresa Arenas; her siblings Adinael, Ana Maria, and Alirio.
She is survived by her Daughter, Dexy Yohana Kitterman and her son-in-law Joe Kitterman; her grandchildren Danny, Dylan and Drake; her sisters Auris, Alix Maria, and Yamile; and her nephews: Franklin, Jean Carlos, Anderson, Alirito, Darwin, Marilyn, Auris Teresa, Rafael, Jose, Luis, Maria Laura and Dexy Azucena.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 5th, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate Dexy’s life. Services conclude at the end of the evening.
Though Dexy’s time on earth was far too short, her love, courage, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
