Josue Garcia, 31, of Brownsville, TX, was a devoted son, brother, friend and uncle, who entered into eternal rest June 28, 2025 at Valley Baptist – Harlingen surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brownsville on August 28, 1993.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents Enrique and Juanita R. Garcia, his brother, sisters and brother and sister in laws: Henry Garcia (Stephanie), Sabrina Vallejo (Jared) and Brenda Garza (Gustavo), his niece and nephews Shawn Henry Garcia, Jared Jr, and Jenna Lynn Vallejo. Various uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
There isn’t a paragraph that can be written to truly describe Josue Garcia as a man. Better known as Josh to his family and many friends he made throughout his life. Josh had several interests that could include playing Legos with his niece and nephews to his outdoor adventures hiking his favorite mountains of Colorado. He was always present in the moment no matter the family outing. There was without a shadow of a doubt that we could depend on him for his Tio piñata duties, set up party decor, or anyway he can lend a hand. Josh was loyal, caring, funny, strong-willed, family oriented and even sometimes painfully quiet. On the outside looking in you wouldn’t be able to tell of his many remarkable traits such as the ability to explain how the tide could affect his secret fishing spot, change the oil in your car, build porch steps, and BBQ his hotel ribs to the perfect crisp just by the sound of it. Among all his success, Josh also had the great opportunity to play professional baseball in Mexico. It wasn’t with the Red Sox, but Josh made his mark in the sport he loved. Josh made his mark in all of our lives in one way or another. Layered like an onion, Josh just needed to be peeled back little by little. Once he started to open up, there’s no telling what conversions would be explored. You were and always will be celebrated and loved by your family until the day God calls us to join him by his side. We love you Forever and Always Josh.
