Eulalia Gomez 78, of Brownsville, TX, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend entered into eternal rest Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Los Fresnos, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was born in San Luis Potosí, Mexico on February 9, 1947.
Eulalia embraced life fully, enjoying coffee, gardening, dancing and attending church on Sundays. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She enjoyed most when loved ones gathered at her home to play loteria. Her home was always filled with joy, peace and laughter and her happiest moments were spent surrounded by grandchildren who brought a special light to her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband Humberto Luis Gomez; her parents Guillermo Perez and Margarita Silva Perez; and her sister Clara Duarte.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Humberto L. Gomez Jr. (Linda Zapata); Sarah G Martinez (Miguel Angel Martinez); and Eulalia G Guillen (Adan Guillen); and her siblings Pablo Perez, Hipolito Perez and Biviana Perez.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025 with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2025 and a chapel service will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Interment is to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Los Soldados Cemetery.
