Our beloved Jose Isaias Leal, 63, of Brownsville, TX went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Valley Baptist Medical Central, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 12, 1960 in San Benito, TX.
Mr. Leal was a devoted husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed cookouts and the outdoors, watching his favorite teams (The Houston Texans) play, and above all spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Isaias Leal; his beloved maternal grandmother, Juanita Rodriguez; one sister, Silvia Cadriel.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Blanca Estela Leal; his mother, Maria G. Leal; children, Jose Guadalupe (Brenda) Leal, Ilse Denise (Francisco) Iniguez, and his favorite son Ricky Martin Leal; five grandchildren, Jazlyn Leal, Linzey Leal, Leah Leal, Karli Iniguez, Francisco Iniguez, Jr.; his siblings, Gustavo Leal, Norma Leal, Marbelia Martinez, Mario Leal, Adriana Leal, Bellanira Leal, Alejandro Leal, Rene Leal and Miguel Leal.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Christian burial and Committal service will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
