Alicia Guzman de Landaverde, 85, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Xilitia, SLP on June 8, 1938.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Blas Guzman and Francisca Montes, her husband, Maximiliano Landaverde, children Manuelito and Marianito Landaverde, and a sister Graciela Guzman.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Basilio, Leonor, Enrique, Jose, Juan, Guadalupe, and Miguel.
Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. On Thursday, January 11, 2024, Chapel will open at 8:00 a.m. with a funeral mass at 9:00 a.m. at St. Eugene de Mazenod Parish with Interment to follow at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens at 1:00.
