Jorge Fuentes 57, of Brownsville, TX, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on December 21, 2023, in Brownsville, TX, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Matamoros, Tamps., MX on May 9, 1966.
Jorge is preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Modesta Arriaga; his brother Victor Fuentes, and two sisters Nora and Patricia Fuentes.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 36 years, Margarita Fuentes; his son Gabriel Jacob Fuentes; his daughters Esmeralda and Ashley Fuentes; four grandchildren, Karla Fuentes (13), Daniel Fuentes (9), Adriel Fuentes (1) and Ezriel Reyes (3 months).
Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, with the Prayer Service starting at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and a Chapel Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park at 1:00 p.m.

leaving condolences to the family and friends. Mr. Fuentes was a good dispatcher and filled in as a special ed bus driver when drivers didn’t show up. Always happy as well. May God comfort yo at this time.
