Luanne Williams Russell, 59, of Los Fresnos, Texas, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend entered into eternal rest peacefully on Friday, March 24, 2017 at her residence in Los Fresnos surrounded by her loving family.
Luanne was born in Brownsville, Texas on July 30, 1957. She married Jimmy Russell on May 19, 1984 and together they had four sons. Luanne was a loving wife, mother, and new grandmother. She devoted her life to raising her four sons and took great pleasure being a mother to them.
Luanne enjoyed gardening, repurposing old items, and spending time at the beach but her greatest joy was her family and her new grandson. She will always be remembered for being kind and uplifting to everyone she met. Luanne was deeply loved and will profoundly missed by those fortunate to have known her.
Luanne was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Francis Williams and her father, Hustus Edwin “Bill” Williams. Her only brother, Douglas “Mason” Spradling (Pattie) recently passed after Luanne.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Jimmy Russell of Los Fresnos, four sons, Blake (Sandra White), Jon-Mason, Aaron, Cameron, one grandson Jhett Russell, one sister Lora Dickinson (Michael Wiede), and a nephew Robert Dickinson, several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory and her ashes will be spread in a private ceremony later this year. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the charity of your choice.
