Calvin Lee Brown Jr., 60, of Brownsville, Texas devoted father, brother, and friend entered into eternal rest on March 19, 2017 at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his father Calvin Lee Brown Sr. and sister Carolyn Brown Valle.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother Amanda R. Brown; children Christopher Lee Brown, Matthew Lee Brown; siblings Marilyn Brown-Hill, Joyce Brown (Bill) Sanders, Walter Ray Brown; niece Lisa Marie Parra, and nephews Steven Lawrence Hill II, and Nicholas Troy Hill. His sons were his pride and joy. He liked to fish, hunt and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He enjoyed barbequing with his family and friends, especially during the Dallas Cowboy games. He will be dearly missed by all his friends and family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. There will be a funeral mass held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. The pallbearers will be Bill Sanders, Walter Ray Brown, Steven Lawrence Hill II, Nicholas Troy Hill, Rogelio Garza, Gilbert Martinez, and Steve Hill. 657 Springmart Blvd., Brownsville, Texas 78526.     So sorry, hard to lose a brother. We lost 2. Always an empty space in your heart. But cherish the memories. Thoughts, love and prayers.

    We, Aunt Chepa, Cousins Nora, Richard and Elizabeth want to express our deep sorrows and condolences to Aunt Amada, Cousins Marilyn, Joyce, Wally. Remember an cherish the memories you had with Calvin while he was with you and he will always be watching over the family. Calvin is no in pain and now he is rejoicing up in Heaven with Dad, sister, Uncle and Grandpa. Prayers and may God Bless you all at this time of need.

    It is with great sorrow to read of Calvin’s passing. My husband Jim and I worked with and knew Calvin for many years. He was a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor. Every time we ran into him in later years, he was very friendly and proud of his two boys that we got to see.
