Esperanza Rangel Ibarra of Brownsville, TX, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered into internal rest on November 30, 2025 at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Mexico on April 23, 1957.
She is preceded in death by her mother Maria Petra Armijo Rangel, her father Gonzalo Rangel, and her grandson Matthew Ibarra.
Left to cherish her memory is her spouse Juan Sergio Ibarra Sanchez, children, grandchildren and relatives. She will be greatly missed.
Esperanza Ibarra was a loving wife and caring mother to her children. Her grandkids were her pride and joy. She was the heart and glue of the family. She loved Cardinal birds and caring for animals. She enjoyed spending her mornings and weekends at Whataburger on Ruben Torres and FM 802 with her husband and devoted friends. Her favorite store was Hobby Lobby and enjoyed looking at all the decorations the seasons brought. She was an incredible woman, wife, sister, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all those that love her and were close to her.

Visitation hours are scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4th, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will commence at 6:00 p.m. The chapel opens at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 5th, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel service will commence at 2:00 p.m. Interment is to follow to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens at 3:00 p.m.
