Olivia Lorrayne Elias, 71, of Brownsville, TX devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered eternal rest Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Tampico, Tamaulipas on June 5, 1952.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Miriam J. Hernandez (Adrian), Clara I. Salazar (Jose), Olivia Lopez (Ignacio), M. Carmen Rodriguez (Praxedis), Jose C. Elias Jr. (Veronica), Edgar Elias (Olga), Jesus Elias, and David Elias (Liliana); her siblings Juan Morato, Arturo Morato, Irma Morato, Celestino Morato, Jose L. Morato, and Carmen Morato; her grandchildren, Miriam Hernandez, Adrian Hernandez Jr., Thanya Hernandez, Francisco J. Salazar, Jose M. Salazar Jr., Christian J. Salazar, Liliana Ham, Andres Ham, Christopher Ham, Kimberly Ham, Emily Ham, Isaac Ham, Daniel Morales, Praxedis J. Rodriguez IV, Esai D. Rodriguez, Gael E. Rodriguez, April Elias, Denisse Elias, Jose C. Elias III, Priscilla Elias, John M. Elias, Josua Elias, Nolan Elias, Victoria Elias, Ximena M. Elias, Edgar F. Elias, Damian Elias, David Elias Jr., and Joshia L. Elias.
Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
