In Loving Memory of Eric Cantu

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Eric Cantu who entered eternal rest on July 17, 2026, at the young age of 30.

Eric was a devoted loving son, brother, grandson and friend. A man whose kindness and religious beliefs were spread to the people he loved. Many of his friends speak highly of Eric, describing him as a true and supportive friend.

Eric was a bright, young, honest and hardworking man with many dreams and goals he strived to conquer.

He leaves behind his beloved father; Jose Cantu, his mother; Belinda Olivares, sister; Alexandra Dun, 3 nieces and his brother; Joey Cantu, who undoubtingly loved and cherished spending time with. Grandmothers; Maria G. Martinez and Maria V. Olivares. Uncles; Miguel Cantu, Julio Cantu, Antonio Perez, Javier Cantu, Celestino Olivares Jr. and David Olivares, Aunts; Anna Cantu and Herlinda Vasquez and numerous cousins.

Eric is proceeded in death with open arms by his grandfathers; Celestino Olivares Sr. and Miguel A. Cantu.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief we find comfort in knowing he was received at the gates of heaven.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24^th, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home as well as a 6:00 p.m. Holy Rosary. The following day, Saturday, July 25^th, 2026 the chapel will open at 8:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral mass will follow at 10 a.m. at San Pedro Catholic Church, with interment to follow at 11 a.m. at Villa Nueva Cemetery.
