Myrtle Lee Garza, 79, of Brownville, Texas, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, entered eternal rest on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Brownsville, Texas on June 9, 1945.
She is preceded in death by her parents Paula R. Kilpatrick, and Joseph Milford La Caze; stepfather, Hugh Thomas Kilpatrick; her daughter, Martha Patricia Garza, and her husband, Sergio Treviño Garza.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Sergio Patricio Garza, Laura Margarita Garza, Corina Garza Alvarez (Rudy), and Claudia Garza; her grandchildren: Joseph Lee Martinez, Rudy Alvarez Jr., Joey Luna Jr., Randy Alvarez, Irene Alvarez, and Alyssa Marie Luna; and her great-grandchildren: Aliza Anastasia Peña and Isaiah Valentino Peña.
Visitation will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025, with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will conclude at the evening.
