Guadalupe Benavides Llamas, 93, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Mexico on May 16, 1931.
She is preceded in death by her husband Uvaldo Gomez; her children Ubaldo Gomez and Yolanda Gomez; and her siblings Antonia Calderon, Rosa Benavides, Manuel Benavides, and Rodrigo Benavides.
She is survived by her siblings Jesus Gomez, Mario Alberto Gomez, Josefa Gomez, Bertha Alicia Gomez, and Blanca Gomez; and 7 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 03, 2025, with a chapel service at 2:00 p.m. and recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. a chapel service will be celebrated. Interment is to follow at 11:00 a.m. to Guillen Community Cemetery.
