Ricardo Rios

Ricardo Rios, 69, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on day, October 22, 2024, at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brownsville, Texas, on December 11, 1954.

He is preceded in death by his parents Trinidad and Andres Rios; his brothers Juan A Rios, Ruben Rios; his sisters Magdalena Rios, Lucy Garza, Cande Menchaca, Stella Bush, Mary Benavides, and Virginia Rios.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Mary Garcia Rios; brother: Reynaldo Rios; sister Celia Rios; his daughters Roxanne Rios, Sue Rios; his son Ricardo Rios JR & his wife Sabrina Rios; his grandchildren Melanie Piña, Jaythan Castillo, Matthew Piña, Jennamarie Rios, Tyson Rios and Brooklyn Burse

Ricardo Rios was a hard-working, loving, genuinely kind hearted man. He was known to be a great husband, father, brother and friend to many. Someone who would drop everything to help others without expecting anything in return. Truly his grandchildren’s biggest fan. With his entrepreneur mindset he started his business Valley Towing & Storage in 1973 and ran it successfully until his last breath. He loved his family, friends, business and even strangers. The Jokester, lightness and love that he brought to people will continue to live through them. If you knew Richard you knew laughter and how to not take life so seriously. He’d want us all to wipe away our tears and celebrate his life. May his charisma continue to make you randomly smile because he’d love that. Rest in peace, Richard and watch over us as we are sure you are already doing.
