Israel Bravo, 81 of Los Fresnos, Texas, devoted husband, father, and grandfather entered eternal rest peacefully at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, TX on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. He was born in Nuevo Leon, Mexico on September 23, 1943.
Israel was of strong willed character and had a caring heart for others. His humorous personality was always present and was enjoyed by many. Israel had strong family values. He pursed the automotive field and was an auto parts store business owner. His heart felt appreciation for music was felt through his powerfully, mesmerizing voice.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jose Bravo and Feliciana Bravo; and his siblings Teresa Bravo, Aracelia Bravo, and Benjamin Bravo.
He is survived by his wife, Jacinta Bravo; his children Yasmin Ortiz (Daniel), Emalee Bravo, Silvia Caraveo, and Cynthia Garcia; his grandchildren Gemma Guarneros, Benjamin Carmona, Valentin Ortiz, Braxley Garcia, Skyler Garcia, Amelie Garcia, and Aiden Torres; and his siblings Javier Bravo, Jose Bravo, Gloria Bravo, Juan Bravo, Rosalva Bravo and Hilda Bravo.
Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024 with a service commencing at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The chapel opens at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and interment is to follow at 2:00 p.m. to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
