Maria J. Rubio, 66, of Brownsville, TX, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Valley Baptist Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Brownsville on June 23, 1958.
She is preceded in death by her mother Felipa Villalobos and her father Juan Jose Gonzalez; and her brother Juan Jose Gonzalez Jr.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Eulogio Rubio III; her children Eulogio Rubio IV, Azennett Rubio Castillo, Mitzi Rubio, and Brissa Rubio; her grandchildren Stephania I. Castillo, Julie A. Castillo, Hailey E. Vela, Kaitlyn L. Vela, Milton F. Iracheta, Azennett A. Iracheta, Ruben Garza III, Jaiden Garza, Connor P. Stewart, Ryan K. Stewart, Alice R. Padilla, and Gelasio Marquez III; and her 2 sisters Patricia Gonzalez and Martha Gonzalez.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2024, with a prayer service commencing at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will conclude at the end of the evening.
