Graciela “Gracie” Osornio, age 53, passed away on September 2, 2024, in Dilley, Texas. Born on December 25, 1970, in Brownsville, Texas, Gracie was known for her vibrant, intelligent, and carefree spirit. Her presence was a light in the lives of many, earning her the affectionate title of a social butterfly. Gracie had the unique ability to uplift everyone around her, bringing smiles and joy wherever she went.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roberto Osornio, and her brother-in-law, Juan Rios.
Gracie is survived by her children, Darius Osornio, Rigoberto Osornio, Cassandra Ochoa, and Jennifer Ochoa; her grandchildren, Darius N. Osornio, Rigoberto Osornio Jr., Jerolynn Osornio, Cruz Ochoa, Michael Vallejos, Julius Vallejos, Kelee Vallejos, Immanuel Hernandez; her mother Maria O. Osornio; her siblings, Roberto (Mari) Osornio, Marcos (Lorena) Osornio, Jose (Carmen) Osornio, Martha Osornio, Julian (Paula) Osornio, Maria Osornio, and Baltazar Osornio; Maria Rios.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2024 with a chapel service at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will resume on Thursday, September 19, 2024 to celebrate a Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. at Good Shephard Catholic Church and interment is to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Buena Vista Burial Park.
