Elida Garcia Perez, 87, of Brownsville TX, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas Mexico, on March 6, 1936.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Gutierrez Perez, and her daughter, Martha Ruth Perez.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Dora Patricia Olivarez, grandson, Isaac Olivarez, granddaughter, Amanda Lizette De La Cruz, great-grandsons, Isaac Olivarez, Jr., Derek Olivarez, and great-granddaughter, Riley Raelynn Roiz.
She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held from 1PM to 8PM with a prayer service at 7PM on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation continues at 12PM on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home followed by a Committal Service at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens at 2PM.
