Wilma Jo Shergold Hogan

Wilma Jo Shergold Hogan, 88, of Rancho Viejo devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on March 26, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas on February 19, 1935.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Michael J Hogan; son: Richard R. Shergold, and her brother Charles Smith.

Left to cherish her memory is her son John (Jessica) Shergold and her beloved granddaughters Kathryn and Carolyn Shergold.

Grandma Jo was affectionately known to all who knew and loved her as a humble, personable, and compassionate soul that cherished and loved her two angels, her granddaughters Kathryn and Carolyn Shergold. Grandma Jo raised two boys Richard and John in Fort Worth in a small house filled with love as she worked full time to make ends meet. Mom never put a limit on what her boys could achieve and sacrificed so they could become educated and pass the torch to a new generation. Mom was a devoted catholic and raised her boys to respect and love God and fight against injustice. She was a Civil Rights Advocate in the late 1960’s working on the late Robert F. Kennedy’s Campaign while employed as a union member with Bell Helicopter Textron for 35 years.

She loved music and dancing and most of all Kathryn and Carolyn, who are survived by their Daddy John, to continue her legacy of love, truth, and compassion for others, as they grow up and learn of the life she led.
