William “Bill” John Schweitzer

William “Bill†John Schweitzer, 76, born in Ohio, entered eternal rest on March 23, 2023 at his home in Bayview, Texas surrounded by his loving family. He was a Christian man who served the Lord. He worked at Trico for many years but retired from Adtech. Bill loved to Hunt he was a Bow Hunter and enjoyed going Fishing. He was a collector of guns and antiques. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He will forever be remembered as a strong hard-working man. He will forever be missed. He left a legacy behind of wonderful memories.

Bill was preceded in death by his father: Charles Schweitzer, Mother: Martha Ott Schweitzer, Son: Shane Schweitzer, Daughter: Rachael Schweitzer, Sister: Pat Korn, and Sister: Norma Terry.

He is survived by his Son: Gregory Schweitzer (Carol Schweitzer) Grandchildren: Danny, Scott, April, Shane, Skye and Dylan. Daughter: Barbara Jones grandchildren: Bradly and Christina. Grandson: Andrew and 5 great-grandchildren. Brothers: David Schweitzer, Virgil Schweitzer, Steve Schweitzer, and Sister: Joyce Day.

He was loved by many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Those who were fortunate enough to have known Bill knew he was a man of strong will, good work ethics, and respect.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday,  March 28, 2023 from 1PM to 8PM with a prayer service at 6PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will conclude at the of the evening.
