Maria Isabel Rodriguez passed away at the age of 79 on February 2, 2023, at Valley Regional Medical Center, Brownsville, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Rodriguez and her siblings, Catalina Loera and Toribio Loera.
She is survived by her children, Pilar Thanscheidt, Benjamin (Ana) Rodriguez Jr., Omar Rodriguez, and Isela (Adalberto) Guzman; 7 grandchildren; siblings, Francisco Loera, Arturo Loera, Cirila Loera, Alfonso Loera, Epifania Flores, Rutilo Loera, Homero Loera, Lucila Loera, and Ignacio Loera.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home located at 657 Springmart Blvd., Brownsville, TX, from 1PM until 8PM with a prayer service at 6PM. Visitation continues at 11AM at Iglesia Menonita del Cordero (1033 N. Minnesota Ave., Brownsville, TX) with interment to follow at 3PM at Buena Vista Burial Park, Brownsville, TX.
