Robert Lamar Snodgrass

Robert Lamar Snodgrass, 85, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Sunshine Haven in Brownsville surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brunswick, Georgia on July 9, 1937.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Myrtle Snodgrass and brothers Michael and Gerald Snodgrass.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Beth Sue Snodgrass; children Terry Moore (Buddy) and Rick Daniels (MaryAnne) of Brunswick, Georgia and Sharon Snodgrass of Brownsville, Texas; grandchildren Rachel Moore, Alec Solis and Aaron Solis; brothers Sammy Snodgrass and Donald Snodgrass.
Lamar worked a better portion of his life in the shrimping industry with his brother Sammy. His hobbies included motorcycles and collecting guns. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and camping with friends throughout Texas. He was also an avid gun collector, always sharing this passion with friends and loved ones. Lamar enjoyed traveling to the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee with his family and his favorite destination was a place called Cades Cove. He lived his life to the fullest.
His life and legacy will be remembered and cherish by family and friends.
A celebration of his life is scheduled for Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 1-4pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Brownsville, Texas.
