Sergio Cantu Rodriguez, 68, of Brownsville, TX, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest January 9, 2023, at Valley Baptist Medical Center- Brownsville surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Nava, Coahuila, Mexico on December 27, 1954.
He is preceded in death by his parents Elpidio Cantu Garza, and Hortencia Rodriguez de Cantu; sister Marisela Cantu Rodriguez.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Raquel M. De Leon de Cantu; children Sergio Hiram Cantu, Christian Magali Cantu, Anuar Abraham Cantu, Salma Areli Cantu; siblings Pilar, Nora, Rafael, Javier, Hector, Rosy, Jaime, Everardo, and Laura.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 1PM to 8PM with a prayer service at 6PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation continues Friday, January 13, 2023, at 10AM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with a chapel service at 12PM. Interment to follow at 1PM at Buena Vista Burial Park.
