Andres Alegria

Andres Alegria, 67, of Brownsville TX, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in EJ. Santa Librada, Matamoros, Tamaulipas on November 30, 1955.

He is preceded in death by his parents Pablo and Susana Elsa Alegria, brothers Nicandro and Miguel Angel Alegria, and nephew Margarito Alegria, Jr.

He is survived by his wife Venancia M. Alegria, his daughters Daisy (Eron) Alegria Hernandez, Jessica Alegria, Sandra (Eric) Cespedes, grandchildren Jorge Andres Garcia, Eric Damian, Anali Montserrat, and Adrian Gael Cespedes, his siblings Alma Negrete, Cipriano Alegria, Concepcion Morales, Margarito Alegria Sr., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Andres loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids whom he loved very much. He enjoyed cooking, listening to music, and always stayed active by doing outdoor activities. He was a caring and loving man who was ready to lend a helping hand to whomever need it. He was a devoted Catholic and always kept his faith strong. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, January 6, 2023, from 1PM-8PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral mass will be on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 12PM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
