Carlos Alberto Dominguez

Carlos Alberto Dominguez of Brownsville Texas, devoted father,brother,grandfather, and friend has fallen asleep in death surrounded by his loving family on August 27, 2020. He was born in Puerto Cortés, Honduras.

He was proceeded by death by Reina Isabel Domínguez, Jorge Alberto Domínguez, and Dennis Dominguez.

Left to cherish his memory is Karla Pate, Kandra Dominguez, Yary Vaughn, Alberto Dominguez; his Love and partner, Lucy La Rue; his brothers and sister from the Dominguez and Irías family.

Carlos started working at the port of Puerto Cortés at a very young age. By the age of 21 he immigrated to the United States and was able to help his family start a new life soon after. He was a member of the seafarer union as a merchant marine chef cook which he retired from 2012. 

Carlos traveled to many different countries and enjoyed learning different cultures especially their fine cuisine and music. Carlos will be remembered for his big heart and his ability to bring joy wherever he went. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. 

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2020 at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Flowers, donations, and condolences may be offered at 657 Springmart Blvd. Brownsville, TX 78526. Services conclude at the end of the evening due to cremation.
