Guadalupe Cerda Flores, 57, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted Godfather, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend entered into eternal rest on August 24, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his parents Jesus Flores and Esperanza Flores.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Priscilla (Hilde Jr.) Bay Puente, Vanessa (Reynaldo) Cantú, Roxanne (Roberto) Flores Castañón, Lisa Marie (Ernesto Jiménez) Flores, Selena (Valerio Puente) Flores, and Guadalupe (Itzayana Escobar) Flores Jr..; grandchildren Serina, Anthony, Aurelius, Reynaldo Jr., Ricardo, Gerardo, Abelardo, Arahbella, Greysen, Jaiden, Diego, Madison, and Ximena.
Our dad Guadalupe Flores wasn’t just our dad he was our best friend, our shoulder to cry on, even though after he would call us crybabies. He was one of a kind, the life of the party. His Michael Jackson moves, and moon walk will never be forgotten. He was a great brother and amazing friend and everyone’s favorite uncle. You knew you could always count on him. Our dad was the best grandpa any kid or teen could have or ever hoped for, he gave into every joke to make himself involved he always made all of us laugh with all the stories he had to tell. To us our dad was our MVP, he was our quarterback, our coach and our guidance. You will be missed daddy! We love you and Go Cowboy!!
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 from 1 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel service will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 1 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at 2 PM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
