Herlinda Judith Garza, 57, of Brownsville, TX, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, entered into eternal rest, on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Houston, TX, on December 3, 1959. She is preceded in death by her mother Dominga Salazar, her grandmother, Francisca Salazar and her beloved dachsund, Oscar.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Rudy Garza, her children, Sunshine, Christopher, Krystal Judith, and her beloved dachsunds and Dakota. Also surviving are her siblings, Rosie Garza, Mark Castillo, and Jerry Castillo along with her grandchildren: Isaiah, Azalea, Alister, Rody, and Oliviette Judith. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 11, 2017, from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, May 12, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church. Services will conclude at the end of the mass.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the ASPCA, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, or a charity of your choice.

    I was so sorry to read of your loss. Death is truly an enemy just as the Bible says at 1 Corinthians 15:26 especially when it is a loved one,but we do have a hope of seeing them again in the resurrection that Jesus promised at John 5 :28,29. May your family and friends find peace and comfort during this very sad and difficult time.
