Margarita “Margie” Munivez Quintanilla, 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 19 2026, in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by her loving family.
Margie was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and wife. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, creating loving memories. Her warm, kindness and love formed a foundation that will forever carry her spirit. She proudly work for Silva Mind Control and then retired from this company. Margie shared over 20 beautiful years of marriage to beloved husband Jose Leonardo Quintanilla. Together they built a life rooted in love, hard work and family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Leonardo Quintanilla; her parents, Antonio P. Munivez and Catarina E. Munivez and her daughter Melissa Quintanilla
She is survived by her children Sergio Quintanilla (Dominique Arguello), Micheal Joseph Quintanilla (Yvonne Gonzaba), Roberto Quintanilla (Vanessa Baho Gonzalez). She also survived by her sister Catarina Munivez, her brothers Benjamin Escobedo (Elva Escodedo), Antonio Munivez Jr.; her in-laws Graciela Cardenas (Frank Cardenas), Alejandro Erasmo Quintanilla (Josefina Quintanilla), Teresa Yvonne Garza, Veronica Machado (Celso Machado), Claudia Serna (Conrado Serna), Hugo Ivan Quintanilla (Diana Quintanilla), Enrique Tomas Quintanilla (Rosa Quintanilla), Zita Idalia (Antonio Vela), Norman Issac Quintanilla, grandchildren: Leslie Nicole, Leann, Michael Joseph, Terri (Mario) Javi, Maximiliano, Brandon Lee, Leonardo and Emilia, and great- grandchildren: James, Mila and Lyla along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25th, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, with a holy rosary commencing at 6:00 p.m. Services conclude at the end of the evening.
