Laura Sanchez, 54, of Brownsville, Texas, passed away on April 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Known for her generous heart and joyful spirit, Laura brought warmth, laughter, and comfort to everyone she met.
For nearly two decades, Laura devoted herself to caring for others as a dedicated personal care assistant. Her compassion, patience, and commitment touched countless lives and reflected the kindness that defined her.
Laura cherished her family above all else. She is survived by her loving husband, Marcelino Gonzalez Sr., and her children, Marcelino Gonzalez Jr. and Rosemary Gonzalez, who were the center of her world. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren—Layla, Jose, Fernando, Derick, Leeroy, Leah, and Manuel—each of whom brought her immense joy.
She is also survived by her mother, Rosa Sanchez, and her siblings Elia Lucia Winstead, Yolanda Sanchez, Marisela Sanchez, and Arnoldo Sanchez, who will forever hold her memory close.
Laura is preceded in death by her grandmother, Elojia Garcia, her brother Rolando Sanchez, and her sister Maria C. Sanchez. Knowing she is reunited with them brings comfort to those who mourn her here.
Laura found joy in life’s simple pleasures—playing Lotería with family, relaxing at home, and sharing laughter with those she loved. Her presence brought comfort, her humor brought light, and her love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held on April 7, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial in Brownsville, Texas. 657 Springmart Boulevard, Brownsville, Texas, 78526.
