Victor Manuel Garcia Jr.

Victor Manuel Garcia Jr.

We are extremely saddened to announce the unexpected passing of our father, brother, and friend, Victor Manuel Garcia Jr. (“Vivi”) on March 2nd, 2026, at the age of 44.

He was born May 28, 1981, in Brownsville, Texas, to Victor Manuel Garcia Sr. and Sandra Luz Garcia.

He left behind two daughters, Sammantha Garcia and Stephanie Garcia, who were made up of pieces of him. He encouraged them to pursue their goals and dreams until the very end.

Victor was a dedicated and hardworking plumber who always completed the job beyond the expectations set. He was always happy to use his handyman skills to help his family members, coworkers, and strangers. Our father never expected anything in return and would help others out of the kindness of his heart.

He will always be remembered for his love of cartoons, pizza, and loud music, which he loved to share with his family. He was always excited for the newest cartoon in the movie theatre that would be coming out and would often rewatch movies like “Over the Hedge” and “Madagascar”. He paired each movie with pizza to enjoy with his loved ones. These are some things that made him, him.

He will always be loved by his family, and every moment together will be cherished for the rest of our lives. May he rest in eternal peace.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10th, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for all friends and loved ones. A Holy Rosary will commence at 6:00 p.m. The chapel opens at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11th, 2026. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Following the mass, the burial will proceed at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
