Benito Gonzalez, 66, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted husband, son, father, brother, grandfather, and friend entered into eternal rest on July 16, 2022 at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his father Benito Gonzalez Padron, and his brother Jorge Gonzalez.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Rosa Elia Gonzalez; mother Cruz Maria Carreño; one son Benito Alejandro (Cynthia) Gonzalez; one daughter Anais (Caleb) Wren; six grandchildren Roxanna Gonzalez, Josue Gonzalez, Josias Gonzalez, Vivianna Gonzalez, Elia Rose Wren, and Matthew Bennett Wren; one brother Benjamin Gonzalez; one sister Sandra Carmona.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 1PM to 8PM with a prayer service at 6PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Church service will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 10AM at Gospel Assembly Church (2227 S. Dakota Avenue, Brownsville, Texas). Interment will follow at 11AM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
