Maria Santos Diaz, 86, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Miguel Diaz; her parents Emilia Baron, and Pio Tovar; and one granddaughter, Joanna Delgado.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Ana M. (Jose Luis) Delgado, Ma Josefina Medina Tovar, Maria G. Puentes, Maria (Jesus) Velasquez, Jose (Maria Teresa) Medina, Miguel (Maria De Los Angeles) Diaz; her 22 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 1 to 9 PM with prayer service at 7 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Chapel funeral ceremony will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 10 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Guillen Cemetery. Services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory-Flower Shop.
