Arnoldo “Arnold” Gracia, 60, beloved son, brother, cousin, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend, entered into the glory of his eternal life on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Medical City Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
A native and lifetime resident of Brownsville, Arnold was the youngest son born to Juan and Ninfa Gracia. Arnold was a proud graduate of James Pace High School, Class of 1985.
After graduation, Arnold moved to California, where he resided for 21 years. He returned to Brownsville, and after a work injury disabled him, Arnold became his mother’s caregiver for the last 15 years.
Arnold was preceded in death by his father, Juan Gracia; a brother, Rolando Gracia; his sister, Melba Leticia Mendoza; and his maternal grandparents, Servando and Josefina Gonzalez, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of him is his loving mother, Ninfa G. Rodriguez; his sister, Hilda “Lila” Ramirez; and his two brothers, Orlando and Juan (Estela) Gracia Jr. Arnold will also be missed by his nieces and nephews: Ashley (Michael) Ricarte, Stacey (Eddie) Mendoza, Jeniffer Mendoza, Brandon Gracia, and Ricky Mendoza; and his grand-nieces and nephews: Bryson Perez, Maddix Ricarte, Sophia Ricarte, and Leticia Barney, along with numerous cousins and extended family members.
In accordance with Arnold’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 6:00 p.m. All services will conclude Thursday evening.
