Antonio Munivez Jr., 79, of Brownsville, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Antonio was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Antonio Padron Munivez and Catarina E. Munivez, and his sister, Margarita Quintanilla, and her husband, Jose Leonardo Quintanilla.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory, including his sister, Catarina “Katy” Munivez (Reynaldo Lerma Sr.), and brother Benjamin Escobedo (Elva Escobedo).
He is also survived by his nephews:
- Mark A. Lerma Sr. (Crystal Lerma)
- Alberto Esparza Jr. (Elizabeth Castillo)
- Sergio Quintanilla (Dominque Argüello)
- Michael Joseph Quintanilla
- Roberto Quintanilla (Vanessa Baho)
He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces, who will carry his memory and the love he shared with his family in their hearts.
Antonio will be remembered for the special place he held within his family and for the memories created throughout his life. Though his passing leaves a great emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him, his memory will remain a lasting blessing to his family.
May the love of family and the memories shared bring comfort to all who mourn his passing. Antonio’s life will forever be remembered, his presence deeply missed, and his memory lovingly cherished.
Rest in peace, Antonio. You will always remain in our hearts.
