In Loving Memory of Nora Hilda Atkinson
11/14/1970 – 06/17/2026
Nora Hilda Atkinson was a devoted woman of faith, love, and compassion. She was a firm believer in Christ, and He was her Lord and Savior. Her faith guided her throughout her life and was reflected in the love she shared with everyone around her.
Nora dedicated many years of her life to education. She was a passionate educator who believed in the importance of learning and making a difference in the lives of her students. She earned her Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling and took great pride in her career and the impact she made through teaching.
Nora found joy in the simple treasures of life. She loved family outings, spending time with those closest to her, and the excitement of thrifting for special finds. She had a love for all things sparkly—especially her beautiful jewelry and sparkly shoes, which reflected her bright personality and joyful spirit.
She had a deep love for her husband, Justo Atkinson, whom she loved dearly. She often spoke with pride and affection about her daughters, Leslie and Karen who brought her endless happiness. But perhaps one of her greatest joys came with the birth of her granddaughter, Noemi Elena Leeds. Nora was overjoyed to become a grandmother and cherished every moment with Noemi.
Nora is lovingly remembered by her husband, Justo Atkinson; her daughters, Leslie Leeds (Bennett) and Karen Hernandez (Juan); her granddaughter, Noemi Elena Leeds; her parents, Marcelo and Juanita Guerra; and her brother, Ezequiel Guerra.
Nora’s love, faith, kindness, and sparkling spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of devotion to Christ, family, and education will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. May she rest peacefully in the loving arms of her Savior.
