In loving memory of Maria Del Carmen Perez who went to be with the Lord.
Preceded in death by her parents , Ursulo Perez & Maria De Jesus Perez, her sons, Juan Jose Perez & George “Choche” David Perez, her daughter , Maria Del Rosario Garcia, her brothers, Ursulo Perez , Adolfo “Popo” Perez & Jesus “Chito” Perez. She is survived by her daughter, Maria Estela Garza (Agustin), & her son Lorenzo L. Perez. 10 grandchildren, 23 great- grandchildren & 2 great great- grandchildren. Her
brother, Hector “ Payo” Salas (Juan) , her sister Viviana Castorena (George) & her 3 nieces & 4 nephews .
She will be dearly missed. She served at St Thomas Church for many many years. She enjoyed playing loteria, watching La Rosa de Guadalupe & Dallas football games. Most of all she loved and enjoyed having her great grandkids over & was known as their “Big Grandma”. She enjoyed taking a cruise with her son Lorenzo to her lifelong neighborhood & to visit her loved ones at the cemetery. Thanks to her long time nurse Denise Martinez for always taking care of mother. Though you are gone, the love you gave us remains, a beautiful reminder of your presence in our lives.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24th, 2026 at Sunset
Memorial Funeral Home, with a holy rosary commencing at 6:00 p.m.
On Saturday April 25th, Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel will open at 8:30 a.m.,
funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Mission and interment will follow
at 11:00 a.m. at Buena Vista Burial Park, where she will be laid to rest.
