Heriberto “Eddie” Narvaiz, lovingly known as “Boy,” passed away peacefully with his family by his side on April 13, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on March 10, 1933, in Brownsville, Texas, he spent his life rooted in the community he loved. At the time of his passing, he resided in Olmito, Texas.
Eddie was a proud Army veteran who went on to serve in the Army Reserves, completing a total of 14 years of dedicated service to his country. His discipline, strength, and sense of duty carried into every part of his life.
A true craftsman, Eddie worked as a carpenter and created countless beautiful pieces with his hands. He had a gift for fixing just about anything, creative, hardworking, and endlessly resourceful, he approached every task with patience and pride. Eddie loved celebrating life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, painting, woodworking, singing, playing guitar and spending time in the great outdoors. He was a God fearing man who found joy in simple moments and shared that joy with everyone around him.
Above all, Eddie loved his family. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a loyal friend. He was a true mama’s boy, carrying his mother’s love with him throughout his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Frances Narvaez, and his children: Sherrel Mattison, Wanda Gastelum, Heriberto Narvaiz, Moses Narvaiz, Dixie Flores, Larry White, Betty Silich, Alma Moreno, Marlene Excinia, Edward Narvaez and Dennise Landgraf along with many grandchildren and great‑grandchildren who will continue to carry his legacy forward.
Eddie’s hands built, repaired, and created but his heart is what shaped the family he leaves behind. His love, humor, and strength will be remembered always.
May he rest in gentle peace, surrounded by the light he brought into this world. His memory will forever live in the hearts of those who loved him.
