En memoria de Pedro González

Con profunda tristeza y amor anunciamos el fallecimiento de mi papá Pedro González, quien nació el 23 de febrero del 1960 en Matamoros, Tamaulipas, y falleció el 15 de febrero del 2026 en San Antonio, Texas, rodeado de su familia.

Pedro fue un papa con mucha entrega, un hombre trabajador y de gran corazón. Era una persona que le gustaba bromear y hacer reír a todos. Aunque su vida fue dura, su corazón se mantuvo noble y el le extendía la mano a todos quienes lo necesitaban. El encontraba un “primo” o amigo en cada persona. Aparte de la cruz azul, lo más importante para el era estar rodeado de su familia.

Le sobreviven su esposa Telma Carranza; sus hijos Antonia, Dora y su esposo Carlos Bocanegra, y Pedro Damián y su esposa Emily González; y sus amados nietos Isabella, Leonel y Valeria, quienes fueron una de sus mayores alegrías en la vida. También lo sobreviven sus hermanos Juliana, Emilio, Alfredo, David, Maria Magdalena y Maria Antonia.

Le preceden en la muerte sus padres Antonia González Ibarra y Pedro González Arriaga.

Aunque su partida nos llena de profunda tristeza su legado de unión familiar y cariño continuará guiándonos cada día.

El velorio se llevará a cabo de 1:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m. el sábado 21 de febrero de 2026 con una recitación del Santo Rosario a las 6:00 p.m. en la funeraria Sunset Memorial. Velacion y servicios concluyen a las 8:00 p.m.

In Loving Memory of Pedro González

With profound sadness and love, we share the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Pedro González. He was born on February 23, 1960, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, and passed away on February 15, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by his family.

Pedro was a devoted father, a hardworking man, and a person with a generous heart. He loved to joke and bring laughter to those around him. Though life had its challenges, his kindness and noble spirit never wavered, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand. He had a way of making friends everywhere he went. Beyond his love for el Cruz Azul, what mattered most to him was being with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Telma Carranza; his children Antonia, Dora and her husband Carlos Bocanegra, and Pedro Damián and his wife Emily González; and his beloved grandchildren Isabella, Leonel, and Valeria, who brought him immense joy in life. He is also survived by his siblings Juliana, Emilio, Alfredo, David, Maria Magdalena, and Maria Antonia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonia González Ibarra and Pedro González Arriaga.

Though his passing fills us with deep sorrow, his legacy of family unity and love will continue to guide us every day.

The visitation will be held on Saturday, February 21st  at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. The visitation and services end at 8:00 p.m.
