Guadalupe Vargas

With hearts broken by her passing yet filled with gratitude for the beautiful life she lived, we announce that our beloved mom Guadalupe Vargas has peacefully passed on February 1, 2026 at the age of 93 years old.

Mom was born on March 28, 1932 in Elsa, Texas and lived a life rooted in love, family, and a strong devotion to faith and her family.  Her love was constant, selfless, and unwavering.

She loved family gatherings, music, dancing, singing, and manual hobbies such as sewing, crocheting, crafting, and cooked deliciously. Mom had a heart full of kindness, strength, faith, humor, and compassion and touched countless lives through her warmth and personality.  Mom fought a good fight and we are grateful for the time God gave us with her.

She is survived by her children: Alicia Vargas, Araceli Vargas, Ana I. Tabares (Reynel Tabares), Antonio Vargas (Belinda Vargas), Alfredo Vargas (Minerva Vargas), Adriana Vargas, and Angelica M. Vargas. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
