In Loving Memory of Bhagwandas “Mr. Wani” Wadhwani

November 4, 1936 – October 14, 2025

Bhagwandas Wadhwani, lovingly known as Mr. Wani, passed away peacefully surrounded by family.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Geeta, and his three children Sunil, Anil, and Priya. He is also survived by his three loving sisters, Lavina, Shiela, and Gina, six cherished grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy and pride.

He joins in eternal rest his beloved grandson Satesh, and his dear siblings Murli and Kanta.

Originally from India, Mr. Wani moved his family to the United States in 1971 in search of a better future, arriving with little more than determination and faith. After several years in Dallas, the family settled in Brownsville, Texas, where he became a prolific and respected businessman.

He was a deeply spiritual and compassionate man, always seeking ways to help others and guide them toward the right path. His generosity, wisdom, and unwavering optimism touched countless lives.

Mr. Wani will be forever loved and dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

🕊️ May his soul continue its journey toward eternal peace, love, and light.

I would like to express my deepest of condolences to Mr. Wani’s family and friends. I worked with Mr. Wani when he first opened the La Quinta Inn and Suites in 2003 having the privilege to meet a very compassionate man. He never treated anyone like an employee, he saw all of us as family. He always saw the potential for growth in everyone and encouraged everyone to do better.
