Ernesto David Rocha, 64, of Brownsville, Texas devoted, father, grandfather, brother and friend entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 25, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 26, 1961.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Jose and Ernestine Rocha; his brother, John Rocha, and his sister Yolanda Gammon.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, daughter, Reesa Ann Rocha and son David Alexander Rocha and their mother Debra Rocha; his grandson, Aydin Montoya, and his granddaughter Adelina Rocha, to which were his pride and joy; and his siblings Joe (Ann) Rocha, Sylvia Marquez, Tommy (Joan) Linville, Lawrence (Ana) Linville and Daniel (Sue) Rocha; and numerous nieces and nephews whom have many fond memories and will miss him deeply. He loved family more than life himself and will be missed by many cherished friends. He never met a stranger.
David was the kind genuine soul who left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him and his warm stories and the love he showed his family will never be forgotten. While words canโt take away the pain. I hope you find comfort in the memories and the legacy he leaves behind; he will always be with us in spirit. Love you and rest in peace David.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025 with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services conclude at the end of the evening.

I have not seen David in years, but I will always remember him. He was very friendly and had a very outgoing personality and made you feel like you knew him forever. When our children were young, he helped me get a job at Vincent’s, which he worked out on the weekends. His children when they were little for friends with my children when they were little. He was always a good guy.

I’m in Minnesota visiting family. My condolences to u all!!! I would be there if I was in Brownsville!
David was the guy that if you ever needed something he was there to help however he could, whether it was cleaning up at the lease just hanging out like a true friend. Gonna miss his hugs and laughter, RIP primo like he called me. Your back together with your mom and dad. RIP ๐

David, I am so sorry to hear of your passing. You were always so kind and friendly to everyone . It didnโt matter how many years passed between running into other , it was always like we were back in high school. Friendly to all. May you rest in peace and your family know that you will be missed by all your high school friends. We will cherish the times and memories we made with you. Rest in peace my friend .
